The Motorola MBP853CONNECT is a Wi-Fi® video baby monitor that enables you to keep an eye on things while at home on the handheld parent unit and away on compatible smartphones, tablets, and computers. A full-color, 3.5" diagonal LCD display shows real-time video and sound from your baby's room, and the Hubble app for iOS and Android features live video streaming and sound, motion, and room temperature notifications.
The Motorola MBP36S has a powerful microphone that keeps you alert to what's going on in your baby's room. This earned it one of the best audio scores on our lineup. It has decent connectivity even for large homes, though it suffered some lag in our tests. This also isn't the easiest baby monitor in our reviews to use, as the controls on the parent unit are a little confusing.
This baby monitor is pretty impressive. The camera can see around the room great and very clear, even when you zoom its clear. The two way talking is a great feature. Night vision is super clear as well, even while zooming. The monitor has a room temperature feature and will alert you if its getting too hot or too cold. I added some sweet lullabies that play when its naptime which is awesome and convenient haha! Loving this thing so far. Hope it lasts forever lol.
From a pure imaging standpoint, night vision is vital for watching your baby sleep from another room, and is standard for most baby monitors. Motorized pan and tilt (which lets you swivel the camera from afar) isn't quite as common, but is very welcome if you have a toddler and want to scan an entire room. High-definition is a nice plus, but you don't need the highest-resolution sensor to keep tabs on your baby—most of the monitors we test use 720p cameras rather than 1080p.

Every parent we spoke to agreed. A video monitor is the way to go. It’s the difference between getting up to check on your baby because you thought you heard a noise or glancing at a screen to see if you really need to get out of bed. Video monitors are useful well into the toddler years, too. That screen can help you decide whether you need to step in and comfort your child, or if you can wait out a tantrum.

I have been using this for a few days now and I have to say that this monitor is very high quality for the price. The picture quality is better than most monitors I've seen. The controls are very easy to use that even my non-tech savy wife can operate it. The sound quality is also fantastic. We live in a 2 story home and the range from the upstairs bedroom to down stairs kitchen is perfect. No lost signal as I've seen with other product. The product itself feels sturdy and not cheap. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and I would be recommending this to all our friends and family.

I like the baby monitor. I got it for our expecting baby, but have actually been using it with our 20 month toddler. It’s mounted over her crib and this baby monitor can go anywhere in the house. This is very nice because I’m able to be baby monitor ive while she’s sleeping. She has just started crawling out of her crib which is not ok, so having this device gives me very nice peace of mind to focus on other tasks. I can hear and see clearly.
In addition to being untested for efficacy, physiologic monitors can increase both your stress and your baby’s stress with false alarms and unnecessary trips to the hospital. Dr. Christopher Bonafide, of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia wrote that parents are increasingly bringing healthy babies to the hospital over a false alarm, noting that changes that often set off a monitor are “just normal fluctuations.”

We were also disappointed that the Angelcare’s parent unit lacks an out-of-range warning. If you’re in the backyard or basement and the monitor disconnects, it’s not clear whether you’re looking at a napping baby or a frozen screen. Still, it beat out the Baby Delight for sound and video quality and offers a few customizable features: You can adjust the volume on the baby unit as well as the parent unit, and set up timed alarms and temperature alerts.

With the VTech VM342-2 Camera Video Monitor's 170-degree wide-angle lens, parents can use multiple viewing options to get a panoramic view of their baby's nursery. This high-resolution LCD monitor also has automatic infrared night vision to check on babies without waking them. Plus, it has four calming sounds and five lullabies to help babies get to sleep on their own.
Love this monitor! We live in a decent size home so finding a product that keeps a connection was super important to us. We can have BBQ's outside comfortably knowing our baby is safe without having to run in and put to check on him. The ECO feature allows us save battery life without being plugged in all day/night. Thanks Smilism! Just wish you offered the same brand additional cameras. Hopefully no problems pairing to Baby Sense monitor.

I bought this baby monitor about a month ago. So far is okay, I don’t see much fuss about it. It works as it should, but unfortunately when there is light it goes on night vision and when the sun goes down but still some light coming in it looks in color but not to well. Another dislike about it that is TOO SENSITIVE! Once you pass by the baby with the LCD device it picks it up and makes a weird annoying beep. It has woken and scare my baby several times so I have to lower the volume that way when I put him to bed I don’t hear that weird annoying sound. For the price I would not recommend, mine as well buy something little more pricey but get something good.
I had an old baby monitor that had interference and would lose signal and alarm at all hours of the night. It was time to upgrade! So happy with this purchase. The monitor is quiet when the baby is not crying and no static. The image is very clear and all I need is to see the baby clearly. Love the larger screen. You can turn monitor off at night where it only pops on when baby cries or moves. Set up was a breeze too!
My husband and I had been using a spare phone and $4 baby monitor app for the past 5 months. We co-slept and only needed the monitor during the day and so sound was all that was necessary. Now that our baby is sleeping in the crib I wanted to be able to see her if she rolls over or wakes. We also wanted to be able to check the temperature of the nursery as it's usually way off from the rest of our house. After reading reviews, we decided to give the Hello Baby monitor a try. It hasn't been that long but I'm really impressed with the quality of the product for the price! So easy to use and really great picture quality especially the two way audio which we use quite a bit! The screen itself is bright and vibrant.
I did recently downloaded Baby Monitor by Annie from Apple store and it works great! Don't really need to buy the expensive monitoring devices as with two children, I don't have much money to waste really. Of course it's for the safety of the children, so it's not really a waste, although I can easily use this app and it does everything what the big baby monitors do and even more. I've just used my old ipad as the second device placed near my LO.
Look for a monitoring system that is a good fit for your home and lifestyle. For example, if you’re in a small apartment in a busy city, having a monitor that has a long range won’t be as important to you, but one that screens out background noise will. For parents that frequently travel or work long days, being able to check on your child from anywhere and talk over the audio can help keep you connected. But, for those who are with their kids most of the time this might not matter much. The point is, consider what will make parenting easier and your family happiest and you can’t go wrong.
