Job well done, Satrap. The first thing I look for in a site like this are signs that the author is being paid to hype the companies. It’s very tough to find good information that isn’t stricken with bias. There were a couple of times during the article where I actually got excited thinking, ‘Hey, I could do that. I’d actually LOVE to do that.” That being said, I can’t help noticing that you refer to all of it as “extra” or “supplemental”income. Are you saying that with all of these options, sticking to one’s regular “day job” is required? In your experience, if someone really commits to doing this, is it possible to earn a decent living? Cubicles suck.
25. Products – You can create your own product, such as an ebook or computer software. You would then use your blog as a promotion tool to get people to buy your product. As long as you create a legitimate product with a whole lot of value, you should be able to get some buyers, but like everything else with a blog, you’ll need the traffic to get the sells.
Talking about another example here, a senior of mine in some other college had some financial trouble at home. Paying the college fee was somehow, becoming arduous hence, he thought of a way to teach youngsters piano, which he had learned 5 years before. Thanks for the tips, Edwin! I am gonna try them out and see if I can get some more extra cash. May I suggest to other fellow readers one way I have been earning. I have been earning a bit by writing snippets on QWERIFY and it had been great and I am getting paid for writing contents for others. My name is Amr and I’ve been trying to earn money through online jobs for ages and I haven’t made anything that actually counts. I was just wondering if you can help me find a job? like recommending a wesbsite that actually pays where I’m living? Coz most of those websites don’t have much work here. I’m living in Egypt so I’m a native Arabic speaker and my English isn’t too bad. I’m still studying so I don’t have much experience in a real life job except for working as a call center agent for Vodafone Ireland. If you can help find any job that would be available in my country no matter how hard it is or even if it requires some kind of training. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make some extra money. Appreciate your help and sorry for the long comment.
Double check yourself, before you double wreck yourself. Make sure everything you send to a company, whether a résumé, an email or a portfolio, is good to go. Double check your grammar and wording, and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when it comes to the company’s name. Don’t spell their name wrong and be sure to type it how they type it (e.g. Problogger, not Pro Blogger).

The best part about being a YouTube Partner is that it’s free to join (although there are a few requirements but more on that later) and once you become a Partner and enable ads, you don’t have to do a single thing.
