Great battery replacement for the one that came with our unit - we finally can unplug AND use it for more than 2 minutes. The battery fits and works perfectly with the unit, and the only reason that I did not give a 5 star is that I just wish that it charge would last longer - about 45 min to 1 hour and a half depending on use (screen on or off). But for the price, there isn't much we could complain. Shipped and arrived fast. Would recommend and buy again.

Okay, this is my fifth video monitor. Sixth, actually, because I replaced a Motorola one. I started with the Wi-Fi baby monitor, which my friends have liked. When I set it up it was easy but the camera wasn't very good. Also I needed a phone or some kind of device to check on the baby which didn't make any sense to me once I got it out of the box, because you want to monitor going all the time. So I returned that and I did a lot of research and ended up with the Motorola. The Motorola had a very good camera but it said pan and scan on the box and it was just a manual pan and scan. It had a temperature reading which I liked, and lullabies which is stupid. The reason the Motorola ultimately failed is the battery life And more

This smart-looking monitor doubles up as a security camera and techy parents will love the fact that it works via your smartphone once you’ve downloaded the app. If that all sounds too complicated, don’t fret as it’s actually very simple to get going (no thanks to the instructions, though) and although there are a lot of bells and whistles, they are genuinely useful – lullabies, night light, two-way talk and even an air-quality monitor among them.  The sound quality is outstanding and the video quality good, although it stops short of being excellent.
After testing more than half-a-dozen mounted cameras that beam live video from a nursery, the best baby monitor we've tested is Netgear's Arlo Baby. Netgear's baby monitor packs in a number of must-have features such as clear 1080p video, two-way audio and a host of sensors. Everything's easily accessible from a well-organized mobile app that puts the Arlo Baby's controls at your fingertips.

The Babysense monitor features a 2.4-inch HD LCD screen with high-quality video transmission up to 900 feet. Features to keep you better connected to your baby include infrared night vision, 2x digital zoom, pan and tilt, temperature alerts if it’s too hot or cold and two-way talkback. It also has multi-camera expandability with the ability to incorporate three additional cameras (sold separately). This monitor doesn't alert you to your baby's activity, but it does indicate connectivity and battery problems, and you can set reminder alarms for feeding times, etc.
This thing has been running like a champ. I don't have other manufacturers units so I can't compare but this one does what is supposed to do. I really like that fact that the baby monitor can be unplugged and moved around the house or carried in a pocket. The entire unit, camera and receiver, is small enough that it can be packed in your suitcase and taken to relatives if needed. Night vision is grainy but hey there is no light so that is fine. Detail is so good at night and we feel very comfortable using this with our newborn and now 6 month old. good customer service. Based on that experience and the performance of the unit I just ordered another one for my niece who is expecting in a month.
Despite the 4.4 stars out of 5 the DXR-8 receives (based on well over 200 reviews) from Amazon customers, some users report that the monitor conflicts with other devices on the 2 GHz wavelength, viz, the monitor drops the wireless signal from the camera. Others grouse that while up to four cameras can be connected to one monitor, only one camera can be paired to one monitor, viz, only one monitor can be used. This means, similarly to the Foscam FBM 3501 mentioned previously, a parent can only monitor one child in one room with the DXR-8 and not multiple rooms simultaneously. Also, the   DXR-8 does not have internet streaming capability to one’s smartphone or tablet — a glaring omission considering the product’s hefty price tag.
This really is the monitor that does it all! What puts this monitor heads and shoulders above the rest is the activity sensor pad that goes under baby’s mattress and monitors for lack of movement—a helpful enhancement for tracking baby’s breathing during those scary SIDS months. Once baby grows past that stage, breathe a sigh of relief, but don’t throw the monitor out with the bathwater, because the Angelcare AC517 also comes with both an audio and a video monitor! What more could you ask for?

With this cute little baby device you would not miss on any firsts of your darling angel. You can listen and see all sounds, cries, movements of your precious little baby. The super clear 2 way sound system provides uninterrupted sound without any drop outs. The plug and play system makes it noise free and also easy to install and use. The monitor’s adaptability of up to 4 cameras is simply out of the world.
A baby monitor's job is to transmit recognizable sound and, in the case of video models, images. The challenge is to find a monitor that works with minimal interference—static, buzzing, or irritating noise—from other nearby electronic products and transmitters, including older cordless phones that might use the same frequency bands as your monitor.
These BT monitors were bought for our children as they were born 13 months apart and this was the only multi-cam system we could find on the market to meet our needs. The cameras are complete with adaptor leads and one wall mount bracket. They are in very good condition. The monitor has a couple of scratches on the screen from regular usage but they don’t affect the picture. The battery life is only a couple of hours but can be used off the adaptor plug. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Wireless encryption: This ensures that no one else can tap into your monitor’s “feed” and see what’s going on in your house. WiFi-enabled monitors are great for portability and range, but may be more susceptible to hacking. If you go this route, be sure to secure your home wireless network and keep the monitor’s firmware updated. Otherwise look for digital monitors with a 2.4 GHz FHSS wireless transmission.
