If you want to spend as little as possible without compromising on quality, this basic digital model is easy to get going and doesn’t mind being dropped. It has a better range than others we tried in this price range and the sound quality is good too, although you might struggle to hear clearly at low volumes. Don’t expect any whizzy features – you can’t talk back to your baby and there’s no warning to let you know if you’re out of signal range, for instance. There is a low-battery alarm, but you can’t recharge either unit. We’d have liked the units to be easier to tell apart, but for less than £20, this is still a very good investment.

Great baby camera with a lot of options. The camera is very clear and available in 1080p. It even can sense the air quality and alerts you. Negative is that the new firmware has issues with the speaker. The speaker is very glitchy and will not work at times. I hope they fix the issues with the speaker. Has free cloud service so that you can store the video for a week.
I would choose this product to win this award as it is very affordable and has lots of good features. The best features by far are the lightshow and the huge range of lullabies, and this is what makes the BT Audio Baby Monitor 450 stand out from its competitors in the same price brand. This is the third baby monitor that I have tried, one a similar price and one more expensive, and this is definitely the most useful.
Arlo Baby lets you check in on your baby with just a tap of the finger, from anywhere in the world. Motion and audio alerts are sent straight to your smartphone or email to instantly let you know when your baby is moving or crying. Precious moments are securely recorded with bank-grade encryption – accessible and downloadable anytime from your smartphone. Recordings are saved for 7 days for free.
Microphone sensitivity: There’s a difference between hearing your baby cry, and hearing every little noise. All baby monitors have the option to turn down the volume, but some offer thresholds for parents who are more comfortable with only hearing the biggest upsets, and prefer not to hear the self-comforting noises their baby makes as they fall asleep.
We have a wide range of baby monitors designed for different needs; from video and audio monitoring, to ceiling projections that soothe your bundle of joy to sleep. Unsure of which one to choose? We know how important it is for you to have the right baby monitor, so we've compared them against each other. Take a look at the comparisons below, and see which is best for you.
Keep an eye (and ear) on baby with an audio, visual or movement detecting monitor. Choose from products that feature compact cameras, infrared night vision and high-sensitivity microphones - to alert you to a variety of sounds, no matter how small. Some models are designed for travel or the car, while others come with integrated lullabies to help soothe your child back to sleep.
This monitor is known for its zoom lens, included in the box, that lets you see your baby up close even if you have to position it farther away from the crib. You can use the monitor to remotely adjust the camera, and you don’t have to worry about plugging the monitor in overnight—it can sit on your nightstand for up to 10 hours in the power-saving mode (similar to sleep mode on your computer, but it still provides sound monitoring while the display is off) and up to six hours with the display screen constantly on.
